AMESBURY, Mass. — Freshman
Cam Lund of the No. 18/16 Northeastern men's hockey team was tabbed the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week. The award marks Lund's first weekly honor from Hockey East.
Lund tallied a four-point weekend against the Boston College Eagles this past weekend. While recording his first career hat trick in only 11 games played as a Husky, Lund helped bring the Huskies back from a 4-1 deficit on Friday night, scoring two goals roughly two minutes apart at the end of the third period. His hat trick goal came with .6 seconds left on the clock, sending the game into overtime and eventually a shootout where Lund scored the lone goal for either team for the shootout victory.
The Bridgewater, Mass. native is currently riding a career-best point streak with 5 points (3g, 2a) in three games.
Lund and the Huskies will take on Boston University in a home-and-home series beginning on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at Agganis Arena.
