Kayla Martin of the Northeastern volleyball team was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Martin had a stellar week defensively for the Huskies, leading the back line averaging 4.86 digs per set to help Northeastern to a 2-0 weekend against William & Mary to close the regular season. The Prosper, Texas native tallied double-figures in both contests, recording 18 digs in a sweep on Saturday, followed by 16 in Sunday's four set win.
Martin and the Huskies will face #5 Elon in the CAA tournament quarterfinals on Thursday, November 17. First serve is slated for 1:30 pm, and can be watched on
