AMESBURY, Mass.— Sophomore
Justin Hryckowian of the No. 15 Northeastern men's hockey team was tabbed the Hockey East Player of the Week. The award marks Hryckowian's first weekly honor from Hockey East.
Hryckowian helped the Huskies to a weekend sweep of New Hampshire with six points over two games. He tallied his first career hat trick in the 6-2 win over the Wildcats on Friday, while also tallying an assist for a four-point evening. He followed that up with a two-goal night on Saturday in the Huskies 3-0 shutout.
The Île Bizard, Quebec native leads all Hockey East skaters in goals (8) and game-winning goals (3) on the season. He is currently riding a career-best point streak with 10 points in five games.
Hryckowian and the Huskies will take on Boston College in a home-and-home series beginning on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.
