No. 18/19 Huskies Tackle Sacred Heart In Tuesday Contest

BRIDGEPORT -- The No. 18/19 Northeastern men's hockey team continues their road stint with a Tuesday night contest against Sacred Heart University. The Huskies and Pioneers will drop the puck at 7 p.m. at Total Mortgage Arena that will air live on FloHockey.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

TUESDAY AT THE HEART: The two schools have faced off only four times in program history. Northeastern leads the all-time series with the Dutchmen by a perfect 4-0-0 record, outscoring Sacred Heart 24-5. The last time Northeastern saw Sacred Heart was in the 2018-19 season when the Huskies' swept the Dutchmen in an October road series, winning both game one 5-2 and shutting out the Pioneers in game two, 5-0.
FOLLOW THE LEADERS: The Huskies faceoff leader himself, Justin Hryckowian continues to follow his impressive freshman year. He currently leads both the nation and the Hockey East conference in faceoffs win this season with 221 and 162, respectively. As another week passes, Aidan McDonough continues to stand as the active career leader in the NCAA with 56 goals (1st) and 26 power-play goals (1st). Both Hryckowian and McDonough sit, tied, atop as the scoring leaders in Hockey East. With 17 points each, Hryckowian has tallied nine goals and eight assists in conference play, while McDonough has recorded seven goals and ten assists.
MASTER LEVI: The Huskies' starting goaltender Devon Levi is adding onto the success of his sophomore season. Earlier this season, Levi set a new program record with 12 career shutouts on the road against New Hampshire. In a 2-0 shutout over Boston University on Nov. 18, Levi claimed his second career shutout at Agganis Arena and his third of the season. His three shutouts of the 2022-23 season are tied for second in the nation, while he also ranks third among all active career leaders in the NCAA with 13 shutouts.
