Aidan McDonough was named Hockey East Player of the Week for his offensive efforts on the weekend, and sophomore goaltender
Devon Levi was given his sixth weekly award of the season, being named Hockey East Goaltender of the Week.
Aidan McDonough - Hockey East Player of the Week
- Tallied a team-high seven points on the weekend with four goals, three assists.
- He notched the empty-net goal and two assists Friday in a 3-1 win over UConn, and followed that up with a hat trick and assist in a 5-2 come-from-behind win Saturday in Hartford.
- Sits 2nd in the NCAA in goals per game (0.69) and total goals scored (22).
- This is McDonough's third career weekly award from Hockey East, being named a Rookie of the Week and a co-Player of the Week in previous seasons. This is his first Hockey East award this season.
Devon Levi - Hockey East Goaltender of the Week
- Returned from Olympic duty to stop 100 of 103 shots faced on the weekend to backstop the Huskies to six big conference points in a 2-0-0 sweep of UConn.
- Tied the school record for saves in a game with a 60-save performance Friday night, allowing just one goal in the 3-1 victory. His previous career-high was 40 saves in a game.
- Followed up Friday's performance with a 40-save effort on the road to backstop his team to 5-2 comeback victory.
- Also notched an assist on Friday night's empty-netter, his second assist of the season.
- This is the third time this season Devon has been named the Hockey East Goaltender of the week, and has also been named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week three times.
The Huskies are already back on the road for Tuesday night's contest with Vermont, which will wrap up the season series with the Catamounts. The two teams square off Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Gutterson Fieldhouse. The game will be streamed on CollegeSportsLive.
