BOSTON— Northeastern women's ice hockey assistant coach
Lindsay Berman has been named to the staff for the 2023 U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team, USA Hockey announced on Thursday.
"I'm grateful to Katie Million, Kristen Wright and USA Hockey for this incredible opportunity," remarked Berman. "It's a true honor to be able to work with the best players and coaches while representing our country. I'm so excited to work alongside and learn from Coach Lachapelle and Coach Keady Norton on this quest for a gold medal."
Berman was named to the coaching staff alongside head coach Katie Lachapelle from Holy Cross and fellow assistant Liz Keady Norton from Dartmouth. The International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Women's World Championship will take place from Jan. 8 to 15 in Ostersund and Brunflo, Sweden. The tournament will mark Berman's first stint coaching the U-18s at the international level as the USA team looks to take back gold.
A Northeastern alum, Berman has been on staff with the Huskies since 2018. Since her arrival back on Huntington Avenue, Berman has helped the Huskies win four straight Hockey East titles and back-to-back Frozen Four appearances.
