BOSTON – Coming off the program's first-ever Hockey East Regular Season Championship a season ago, the conference's head coaches have selected the Northeastern men's ice hockey as the favorite entering the 2022-23 campaign, as announced at the Hockey East Media Day at TD Garden.
The Huskies, who earned seven first place votes and 105 points overall, edged out Boston University (94 points, one first place vote) and defending tournament champion Massachusetts (93 points, three first place votes) for the top spot.
Northeastern is coming off a 25-13-1 season that saw the program capture its first-ever Hockey East Regular Season championship and return to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last five years. Under the direction of second-year head coach
