AMESBURY, Mass. – Sophomores
Jackson Dorrington and
Jack Williams of the Northeastern men's hockey team claimed weekly awards from Hockey East as announced on Monday. Dorrington was named the Army ROTC Defender of the Week, while Williams earned Hockey East Co-Player of the Week.
Jackson Dorrington - Army ROTC Defender of the Week
- Dorrington posted a career high three-point game en route to a 9-2 win over RPI on Saturday. The Massachusetts native tallied one goal and two assists.
- He also finished with a plus-seven rating through two games and tacked on three blocks. Dorrington now ranks third among all Northeastern defensemen in scoring with four points (2g, 2a) on the season.
- This honor marks the first weekly accolade of Dorrington's career.
Jack Williams - Hockey East Co-Player of the Week
- Williams recorded a strong six-point performance this weekend, recording four goals and two assists through two games. The 5-11 forward posted a career high four-point game on Saturday night from two goals and two assists.
- The Maine native finished the weekend with a plus-four rating. He went 16-for-24 in the faceoff circle, while adding two blocks and nine shots on goal.
- In addition to earning the second league honor of his career, Williams ranks third among all NU skaters with nine points from five goals and four assists.
Dorrington, Williams and the rest of the men's hockey team are back in action on Friday, Dec. 1 against Boston College at 7 p.m. at Conte Forum.
