Belvit Takes Silver for Jamaica at CAC's

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador – Former Northeastern Track & Field athlete Erica Belvit took home the silver medal in the Hammer Throw this past Monday, July 3rd in the Central American Championships hosted in El Salvador.
 
Belvit, representing her home nation of Jamaica, hit a mark of 70.04m (229'9") in her sixth and final attempt to take second place, just 1.58m behind the gold medalist.
 
After graduating from Northeastern in 2021, Belvit still holds the program record in the hammer throw with a mark of 66.92m which she set in her senior season.
