AMESBURY, Mass. — For the first time this season, junior
Jackson Dorrington has been named the Army ROTC Defender of the Week as announced by Hockey East.
Dorrington recorded a three-point outing en route to helping the Huskies upset No. 3 Boston College. The assistant captain led all Hockey East defensemen in scoring with one goal and two assists in a 4-2 victory on Saturday night. Additionally, the Massachusetts native finished with four shots and four blocks over the weekend.
The 6-2 blueliner is currently tied for fifth among all Hockey East skaters with 14 blocks in league play. Following the BC series, Dorrington has now recorded four points (1g, 3a) in his last three games.
Dorrington and the Huskies are back on home ice Sunday night (Dec. 1) against the Bentley Falcons.
