NEW YORK CITY — The Northeastern men's and women's track and field teams swept the 2024 CAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at The Armory Friday afternoon, with the men's team using two medals in the final relay events to pull away for seven-point victory. The women cruised to a win, racking up 119.5 points and winning by 24.5 points.
For the men, this is their second straight CAA Indoor Track & Field Championship after claiming the crown in the inaugural indoor championship and have won the last 10 CAA Track & Field Championships (indoor and outdoor) dating back to 2015. The women earned their first CAA Track & Field Indoor Championship title and first overall title since 2018.
The sweep is the first of its kind in the indoor championship and is the first sweep in any CAA Track & Field Championship since 2018, when the Huskies themselves won both the men's and women's outdoor championships. The Huskies combined to earn 22 medals over the course of the two-day championship.
