- Gigliotti allowed just a walk and a ground rule double in the bottom of the frame, collecting two fly outs and a ground out to end the game at 14-11. His record on the season moves to 5-2 with the win.
- The win is Northeastern's biggest come-from-behind victory of the season, and just the second win of the season for Northeastern when trailing entering the ninth inning. Northeastern now has eight wins on the year when trailing by three or more runs midway through the game.
- It was the first 20+ hit game for the Huskies this season – the Huskies last had 20 hits in a game last March at Monmouth in a 14-6 win.
- The game was the longest of the season for NU, both in time and in innings played.
Game two of the series is set to take place on Saturday, May 11 at 2 p.m. at Patriots Point.
