BOSTON— Northeastern women's hockey head coach Dave Flint has announced the signing of incoming freshman Éloïse Caron ahead of the 2024-25 season.
A forward from Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Caron joins an incoming freshmen class that includes Morgan Jackson, Tuva Kandell, Tristan Thompson and Lisa Jönsson.
"Elo is a dynamic goal-scorer who has the ability to completely take over a game," remarked Flint. "Her aggressive style and ability to play physically allows her to have an impact every time she is on the ice. Her experience at the international level with Team Canada's U18 program will help her quickly adapt to the speed and physicality of the college game. We expect her to be a big contributor to our programs as soon as she gets to Huntington Avenue."
Caron earned gold with Team Canada at the 2023 IIHF U18 World Championship. Additionally, she was an assistant captain of Team Québec at the Jeux du Canada in 2023.
Caron most recently spent two seasons with the Cégep Limoilou Titans, leading the team with 25 goals and 26 assists during the 2023-24 season. She earned an RSEQ Provincial Championship with the Titans in 2024 and was named the Rookie of the Year of 2023.
Caron and the Huskies kick off their 2024-25 campaign at Penn State on Thursday, Sept. 26.
