Northeastern Ships Up To Vermont For Two-Game Series

BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team heads to Burlington, Vt. to face the Vermont Catamounts for a two-game weekend series, kicking off on Friday, Jan. 17 at 7:00 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. WHAT'S A CATAMOUNT?: This weekend will mark the 81st and 82nd contests between the two programs. Of the last twenty outings, the Huskies are 13-6-1. Most recently, NU was victorious over UVM, 3-1, on Jan. 13, 2024. The junior members of the 2024-25 leadership group lead the way in career points against UVM with Cam Lund at the helm with six points (3g, 3a), followed by Jack Williams with five points (1g, 4a) and the defensive pair of Vinny Borgesi (4a) and Jackson Dorrington (1g, 3a) both with four points.
  2. NEW HUSKIES ON CAMPUSThis past weekend, graduate student Jake Boltmann recorded his first goal in the Northeastern sweater to lift the Huskies up 2-0 over UMass on the road. Coming in as a transfer from Notre Dame, the 6-1 defenseman has tallied eight points (1g, 7a) and 27 blocks (tied for second best on the team). The incoming group of first years and transfer have totaled 39 points this season for the Huskies. Leading the way is transfer senior, from Quinnipiac, Cristophe Tellier who has accumulated three goals and eight assists for 11 points.
  3. THE BIG RITZThrough 19 games, sophomore Dylan Hryckowian leads the Huskies with 12 goals, surpassing his goal total (7) during the 2023-24 slate. The last time Northeastern finished their season led by sophomore in the goal column was in 2019-20 sophomore Tyler Madden collected 19 goals. Following his success against UMass, Hryckowian has now recorded four three-point games this season.
