BOSTON— The No. 12 Northeastern women's hockey team is set for a two-game clash at No. 7 Quinnipiac beginning on Friday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. Game two on Saturday, Oct. 18 is set for a 1 p.m. puck drop. Both games will stream live on ESPN+ and Friday's contest is available to watch on NESN and TSN+.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- COMING IN HOT: The Huskies have opened their 2025-26 slate on a four-game winning streak, their longest to start a season since 2022-23. NU has defeated RIT, Providence and RPI. Northeastern will be looking to extend its win-streak with its road opener at Quinnipiac. The Huskies have won 10-straight road openers and under head coach Dave Flint are 12-2-3 in road openers.
- NOTHING LIL(Y) ABOUT SHAN: Captain Lily Shannon was named the Hockey East Player of the Week following a six-point weekend against Providence and RPI. Shannon posted a career-high four points in the 6-1 rout over RPI. Shannon has posted eight points through four games for NU. She is averaging 2.00 points per game, tied for the third-best mark in the nation.
- A FUR-MIDABLE OPPONENT: Northeastern and Quinnipiac are meeting for the second-straight season in a two-game series. Last year, the sides split with NU taking game one, 4-2, and QU winning game two, 3-0. This weekend marks Northeastern's first series against a team in the top-seven in the polls since the Huskies swept then-No. 4/5 Boston College in 2021-22. The Bobcats enter this meeting undefeated at 6-0-0 on the season including wins over Hockey East opponents, Maine and Providence.
Following a bye week, the Huskies will next travel to No. 13 Boston University on Friday, Oct. 31 for a 6 p.m. puck drop.
