BRONX, N.Y. — Senior Patrick Cantlon and sophomore Nico Boyle led the Northeastern men's cross-country team to a first-place finish at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Friday, with the team seeing all top five finishers in the top 30 runners. On the women's side, junior Keira Gamily led the team to a competitive sixth-place finish.
Men
- With a team score of 58 points, the men's team claimed first at the Championship event.
- Cantlon ran an impressive 24:23.5 time to earn the overall top finisher on the day, a new personal best for the Sydney native.
- Boyle finished in the fifth slot with a personal best time of 24:32.1.
- The third fastest Husky was freshman William French who snagged a 13th place finish with a time of 24:45.3.
- Rounding out the top-five Northeastern finishers were freshman Jack Seagroatt (15th) and junior Ryan Sarney (24). Seagroatt slotted a time of 24:48.1, while Sarney finished at 25:05.1.
Women
- The women's team scored 195 and finished sixth out of 25 teams.
- Junior Keira Gamily took the first slot for the Huskies, finishing 22nd with a time of 21:58.30.
- Emily Wickard finished next, with a time of 22:09.09 in 33rd.
- Graduate student Lauren Trejo rounded out the top three for Northeastern in 35th with a final time of 22:13.10.
- Rounding out the top-five were Ella Dunbury (51st) and Anna Lonergan (53rd). Danbury tabbed fa 22:29.2 while Lonergan finished a second behind with a 22:30.2.
Following this performance, the Huskies move on to another postseason competition at the CAA Championships in West Long Branch, N.J. on Friday, Oct. 31.
