French And Gamily Lead Huskies At CAA Championships

LAKEWOOD, N.J. — The Northeastern men's and women's cross country teams delivered strong performances at the CAA Championships, with both squads earning podium finishes. The men secured second place in the 8K, led by freshman Dawson French's fourth-place effort. In the women's 6K, the Huskies claimed third, highlighted by junior Keira Gamily's impressive seventh-place finish to lead the pack.
 
MEN
  • Leading the way for Northeastern was sophomore Dawson French, who clocked in at 23:41.90 to be the first Husky across the line and earn All-CAA honors with a strong top-five finish.
  • Just steps behind was senior Patrick Cantlon, securing fifth place in 23:45.70. Cantlon's performance also earned him All-CAA recognition as he capped his conference career with a podium-level effort.
  • Sophomore Nico Boyle continued the Huskies' front-pack momentum, finishing close behind in 23:47.10 to place seventh overall and collect All-CAA honors of his own.
  • Ryan Sarney followed with a solid showing, posting a time of 24:19.60 to secure 16th place and add valuable points to the Huskies' team score.
  • Rounding out Northeastern's top five was freshman Jack Seagroatt, who finished 20th overall in 24:29.50, closing out a tightly packed scoring group for the Huskies.
 
WOMEN
  • For the women, Keira Gamily led the charge for Northeastern, powering to a seventh-place finish with a time of 21:19.40. The junior claimed All-CAA honors for her efforts. 
  • Graduate student Stephanie Kriss was next across the line for the Huskies, placing nineteenth overall in 21:43.30. Kriss delivered a strong veteran effort in her final conference championship appearance.
  • Freshman Kirsten Melnik followed with a steady performance, securing 26th place in 21:53.10 and keeping NU's scoring pack tight through the middle of the field.
  • Not far behind, sophomore Emily Wickard finished 29th in 21:57.50, providing another key scoring mark as the Huskies continued to hold position among the top programs.
  • Rounding out Northeastern's top five was senior Lauren Trejo, who crossed just steps later in 21:57.80 to take 30th place, closing out a strong team effort.
