Constantinople Garners Hockey East Weekly Honor

AMESBURY, Mass.— For the first time this season, senior defenseman Jules Constantinople of the No. 9 Northeastern women's hockey team was named the Hockey East Army ROTC Defender of the Week as announced on Monday.
 
Constantinople posted a three-point weekend to guide the Huskies to a weekend sweep over Vermont. In the 3-0 shutout victory on Friday, Constantinople anchored a defensive unit that posted its second shutout of the season and assisted on the game-winning goal. On Saturday, Constantinople tallied the game-winning goal and tacked on an assist for a multi-point outing in a 3-2 win.
 
The East Haven, Connecticut native leads all Hockey East defensemen with 10 points on the season off four goals and six assists. All four of her goals have come on the power-play which is tied to lead all players in the country.
 
Constantinople and the Huskies are back in action on Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. against Merrimack for NU's Military Appreciation game.
