Northeastern Closes Road Swing At Holy Cross Wednesday

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team closes out a four-game road swing on Wednesday night when the Huskies travel to Holy Cross for a 6 p.m. tip-off at Hart Center Arena on ESPN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. SERIES HISTORY VS. HOLY CROSS

Northeastern and Holy Cross will be meeting for the 21st time, and first since 2022. The Crusaders lead the series, 13-7, with the Huskies earning victories in each of the last three meetings dating back to 2008.

2. MILES ABOVE THE COMPETITION
Freshman Miles Newton made his presence felt at Wake Forest on Nov. 28, going for a game and career-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Newton did most of his damage in the first half, going for 19 points. He also added three steals, two assists and two rebounds.

His 22-point night was the best performance for a Husky against a Power Four opponent since Tyson Walker went for 27 points at North Carolina on Feb. 17, 2021.

3. BALL SECURITY
Northeastern has forced its opponents into double-digit turnovers in all seven games, including a season-high 19 vs. Duquesne on Nov. 22, while limiting their own turnovers to single digits in two games thus far.

The Huskies are second in the CAA and 49th in the nation averaging 15.6 forced turnovers per game, while their turnover margin is third in the league (1.4). Luca Soroa Schaller leads the team with 11 steals, and is third in the CAA averaging 1.8 steals per game.
