Jack Williams Signs With Columbus Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS - Northeastern University men's ice hockey's Jack Williams has signed a two-year entry level contract beginning with the 2024-25 National Hockey League season, with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Williams, a native of Biddeford, Maine, wrapped up his third season as a Husky, serving as team captain. During his time with NU, he helped claim back-to-back Beanpot Championship titles in 2023 and 2024 and the program's first trip to the Hockey East semifinals since 2022.

He finishes his collegiate career with 106 appearances for Northeastern with 39 goals and 55 assists for 94 points. The junior tallied ten power-play goals, six game-winning goals, 245 shots and 90 blocked shots.

In his junior campaign, Williams tallied a career- and team-high 41 points and 25 assists, while adding 16 goals, the third best mark on the team. His point total finished ranked among the top-18 in the country. In Hockey East action, Williams' numbers rank among the top-15 with 275 faceoff wins (1st), three game-winning goals (T-4th), 15 assists (T-8th), 22 points (T-12th), and .92 points per game (T-13th).

In his 37 games played, the 5-11 forward recorded at least one point in 24 outings, while recording 11 multi-point games, led by two outings with four-points each against No. 18/17 Quinnipiac and No. 9/8 Boston University.

Williams is yet another Husky from the 2024-25 roster to sign with an NHL organization this post-season, joining classmates Cam Lund '24 (San Jose) and Jackson Dorrington '24 (New York Rangers).
