Lund Honored With New England Hockey Writers Association Award

BOSTON — Cam Lund, assistant captain for the Northeastern men's hockey team, was named a 2024-25 New England Division I All-Star by the New England Hockey Writers Association as announced on Wednesday.
 
Lund was one of eight players to appear in all 37 games for the Huskies this season. His team-high 18 goals, in addition to his 22 assists and 40 points that ranked second on NU's roster all marked career-highs. The Massachusetts native recorded 13 multi-point games, a team-high four power-play goals and three game-winning goals.

In Hockey East play, Lund ranked second in shots (112), fifth in power-play goals 94), seventh in goals (11) and tenth in points (23). The 6-2 forward totaled five points in Northeastern's Hockey East playoff run with two assists against eight-seeded Merrimack in the opening round, one goal against top-seeded No. 1 Boston College in the quarterfinals, and two points (1g, 1a) against No. 4 two-seeded Maine in the Semifinal game.

Most recently, Lund signed a three-year, entry level contract with the San Jose Sharks on March 21 and has recorded two goals in his first three professional games.
