THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- RIDING THE CAA WAVE — The Northeastern track & field program battled fiercely at the 2025 CAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The men's team accumulated 112 points for fourth place, while the women tallied 62.5 points. The two-day meet saw many highlights, including a school record and gold medal from the men's 4x100 relay team, a school record and two silver medals from Blair, and Pisciotta winning his fourth straight CAA Outdoor gold medal.
- BACK IN FAMILIAR TERRITORY — Three of the six athletes competing in Jacksonville, Florida this week are back in the preliminary round as they look to reach the big stage. Exilhomme, the only current Husky to compete at the Division I Championships, looks to return for the first time since 2023, when he finished 17th overall in the 110m hurdles. Rodgers is a four-time Division III All-American in the 400m hurdles and looks to punch his ticket to Hayward Stadium in his first season at the Division I level. And Pisciotta makes his fourth appearance at the East First Round, recording a top 20 finish last year and top 40 finishes in his other two attempts.
- DOMINATING IN DUVAL — The Hodges Track at the University of North Florida has fared well for the Northeastern track and field team, having sent at least one athlete to the track and field NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships the last two times it hosted the East First Round. Exilhomme qualified back in 2023 after finishing seventh in the 110m quarterfinal, and two Huskies (Alex Korczynski, 3000mSC & David Adams, 400m Hurdles) earned a trip to Eugene, Oregon, after finishing in the top 12 of their respective races.
