BOSTON — The Northeastern women's swimming and diving team (5-2) is back home this weekend, as they host Stony Brook (3-3) for Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. The event can be streamed on FloSwimming.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- RAMSDEN REWIND — The Northeastern swim and dive team finished the Tate Ramsden Invitational with a 238–97 win over UMass before falling to Dartmouth, highlighted by multiple finals victories and a podium sweep. Freshmen Alex Fuller and senior Anna Verlander, paced the Huskies with wins across sprint and backstroke events, while the 400 Free Relay team captured first place as well. Freshman Abigail Gowern earned a close second-place in the 400 IM.
- SIX SPECIAL SENIORS — The Northeastern swim and dive team celebrates six Huskies for senior day this Saturday at Barletta Natatorium. The seniors being honored are Elisabeth Bendall, Kotoko Blair, Anelise Kim, Marcela Scaramuzza, Teagan Osga, and Anna Verlander. These seniors have contributed to two Terrier Invitational Victories, three Tate Ramsden Invitational wins, a 7-2 season in 2024-25, and many CAA Championship event medals.
- SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES — Northeastern welcomes Stony Brook to Barletta for the second year in a row. The Seawolves most recently beat Rider, 210-90. Last year, the Huskies were victorious on senior day, beating Stony Brook 209-65.
After Senior Day, the Huskies return to the FitRec Competition Pool for the Boston Winter Open, hosted by Boston University. The two-day meeting will take place on January 6 and 7.
