Men's Basketball Heads To William & Mary, Hampton

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team hits the road for a pair of games in Virginia this weekend, beginning on Thursday against William & Mary (7 p.m.). The Huskies will then head to Hampton for a 4 p.m. tip on Saturday. Both games will stream on FloCollege.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THIS WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS

Northeastern and William & Mary will be meeting for the 39th time, and second time in the last two weeks, with the Huskies holding a 20-18 advantage in the series. The Tribe picked up a victory in the contest two weeks ago in Boston.

Saturday's matchup with the Pirates will be the sixth meeting between the two schools, with Northeastern holding 3-2 edge in the series.

2.  DIALED FROM DISTANCE
William Kermoury has it going from three-point range, shooting 44% in CAA play (50-of-114). He's one of two players in the CAA (D.J. Smith, Campbell) to hit at least six threes in a game five times this season, highlighted by a career-high 36 points on 6-of-14 from three against Charleston on Jan. 31.

Overall, Kermoury leads the CAA and is 28th in the nation in three point percentage (41.6%). As a team, the Huskies have hit 10 threes or more in a game six times this season including a season-high 14 at Elon on Dec. 29. Kermoury is three made threes away from cracking Northeastern's top-ten list for triples made in a season.

3. DOUBLE 'EM UP
Xavier Abreu recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds against Hofstra on Feb. 21. He's the sixth different Husky (Xander Alarie, Haris Elezovic, Ty Francis, Youri Fritz, Luca Soroa Schaller) to record a double-double this season, the most for the team in more than 15 years.
