Huskies Finish The First Day Of The Boston Winter Open

BOSTON – The Northeastern women's swimming team (6-2) recorded multiple top-10 finishes at the Boston Winter Open, highlighted by strong performances across freestyle and IM events.

  • A fourth-place finish in the 500 Free came from sophomore Eliana Auerbach, who posted a time of 5:05.51.

  • Touching fourth in the 200 IM, sophomore Kate Kerber completed the race in 2:07.58. In the same event, freshman Siena Griffiths secured seventh place with a 2:11.28 performance and  freshman Rory Keller  finished in 2:12.50, securing ninth place.

  • The Huskies' top sprint finish belonged to sophomore Marea Li, whose 24.30 earned fourth in the 50 Free. Rounding out the top-10 efforts, freshman Alex Campion placed seventh in the 50 Free with a time of 24.52.

Northeastern continues competition this weekend as the Huskies will swim in day two of the Boston Winter Open tomorrow, Feb. 7.
