BOSTON— The No. 5 and top-seeded Northeastern Huskies will host the sixth-seeded Vermont Catamounts in a Hockey East Semifinal matchup on Tuesday, March 3 at 6 p.m. at Walter Brown Arena. The game will be available on ESPN+ and admission is free.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- TROPHY SZN: Northeastern is looking to capture its seventh Hockey East Title. NU is also seeking a 10th-straight appearance in the Hockey East Title game. The Huskies defeated No. 8 Boston University, 2-1, in double overtime with freshman Emy McDermid scoring the game-winner to advance to the semifinals. Northeastern is 38-13 overall in the Hockey East Tournament, with head coach Dave Flint owning a 38-10 record. As the No. 1 seed the Huskies are 18-1 overall with a 5-1 record in the semifinals. The Huskies are 11-5 in all Hockey East Semifinal appearances. Against Vermont, Northeastern in 5-0 in the playoffs, but have not met the Catamounts outside of the quarterfinal round.
- A SWEDE SENSATION: Sophomore netminder Lisa Jönsson was one of 12 goalies named as a semifinalist for the National Goalie of the Year. This marks the second year in a row Jönsson was named a semifinalist and she continues Northeastern's streak of having a finalist every year since the award's inception in 2021. She also earned Hockey East Second Team All-Star honors. This season Jönsson owns a 1.64 GAA and .939 save percentage. Her GAA and save percentage both rank as the eighth-best mark in the country. Her record sits at 19-5-1, with her 19 wins ranking as seventh-most among all NCAA netminders. In the Hockey East playoffs, Jönsson owns a 3-1-0 record with a .947 save percentage and 1.57 GAA.
- WHAT'S A CATAMOUNT? Top-seeded Northeastern and sixth-seeded Vermont will meet for the fourth time this season on Tuesday. Northeastern swept the Catamounts in the regular season. The Catamounts defeated third-seeded Boston College, 3-1, to advance to the Hockey East Semifinals. This marks the first postseason meeting between the two teams since a two-game quarterfinal series in 2020, with NU winning 5-1 and 3-1. The Catamounts have two Hockey East Third Team All-Stars in Josie Hemp and Stella Retrum. Retrum leads all Catamounts with 28 points off 12 goals and 16 assists.Â
The winner will advance to the Hockey East Championship game on Saturday, March 7 at 3:30 p.m.
