BOSTON – The Northeastern volleyball team returns to Cabot Center for the first time in the 2026 season as it hosts the Northeastern Tournament, Friday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept. 6.
The Huskies open at home on Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. against Holy Cross, then face Fairfield on Sept. 5 at 5 p.m., before closing out the weekend against Harvard on Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. All games will be streamed on FloCollege.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- LAST TIME OUT – The Huskies opened the season at the Gamecock Classic in Columbia, S.C., taking on UNC Greensboro on Aug. 29 and host South Carolina the following day. Emma Rowell led the Huskies with 27 kills across the two matches, while Beatrice Gennari added 16 kills. Arina Sosinovica ran the offense with 38 assists on the weekend, and Aven Crosby paced the defense with 17 digs.
- TOURNAMENT OPPONENTS – Northeastern last met Holy Cross on Aug. 30, 2025, sweeping the Crusaders in three sets behind nine kills apiece from Elle Lucas and Emma Rowell. Against Fairfield, the Huskies fell in four tight sets on Sept. 12, 2025, with Beatrice Gennari leading Northeastern with 12 kills. The series with Harvard dates back further, with Northeastern's most recent meeting coming on Sept. 11, 2021 — a five-set comeback win (25-20, 24-26, 21-25, 25-18, 15-12).
- HUSKIES ON NESN – NESN announced its 2026 fall schedule with Northeastern volleyball set to appear three times this season. The Huskies will face North Carolina A&T on NESN+ at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, before returning to the network Sunday, Oct. 25 against Stony Brook and Sunday, Nov. 15 against William & Mary, both slated for 2 p.m. on NESN
Northeastern closes out its tournament slate of the season at the Colgate Tournament in Madison County, N.Y., taking on Colgate, Dartmouth and Albany from Friday, Sept. 11 through Sunday, Sept. 13.
