BOSTON -- Northeastern field hockey's
Aiko Price was named the CAA Co-Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon, after another strong performance in CAA play.
Price, a freshman goalkeeper from Macungie, Pa., logged another 60-minute shutout with four saves in Northeastern's 2-0 win over William & Mary last Friday afternoon in Dedham. It was her third straight shutout, having not allowed a goal in regulation or overtime since September 13 against Stanford.
With a .800 save percentage and four shutouts, Price leads all CAA goalkeepers in both stats, while sitting third in goals-against average (1.38). In CAA-only stats, she leads the league with a perfect 1.000 save percentage and 0.00 GAA, with two shutouts in two conference games played.
The co-Rookie of the Week honor comes after a week in which Price was named the CAA and NFHCA National Defensive Player of the Week, shutting out Hofstra and No. 7 Harvard in back-to-back appearances.
Price and the Huskies are back in non-conference play this Sunday, October 4, with a trip to Boston College - that game is set to begin at 2 p.m.
