Sophomore Ashley Reeves led the Northeastern volleyball team (5-6) to a 3-1 win over Florida International in the last match of the Ohio State Buckeye Classic Saturday afternoon. Reeves posted a career-high 11 kills to pace the Huskies and senior libero Ashley Adamczyk was named to the all-tournament team.
Reeves also added a career-high two solo blocks and six block assists as NU held a 23-16 advantage in blocks. Larissa Adomat, who joined Reeves with double-digit kills with 10 also tallied seven total blocks.
Ruth Flemig led Florida International with 11 kills and 10 digs. Laura Vogel added 10 kills for FIU, who was limited to a .024 attack mark for the match.
Northeastern will participate in the Pennsylvania Invitational next weekend. The Huskies open the tournament with a 10 a.m. tilt with Syracuse on Sat., Sept. 25.
