Sophomore outside hitter Whitney Turner recorded 17 kills as Northeastern pulled out a 3-2 (30-25, 30-22, 18-30, 27-30, 15-8) win over Georgetown on the final day of the Sheraton/Pennsylvania Invitational Sunday afternoon at the Palestra. Junior Larissa Adomat posted 14 kills and Ashley Reeves added 10 for the Huskies who improved to 7-7 on the season.
Jenny Weed led the Hoyas with a match-high 18 kills and Patty Carroll added 15 for Georgetown, who fell to 8-6 on the year.
NU faces St. Francis in their final match of the tournament at 3 p.m.
