Bryant pounded out 21 hits en route to a 16-4 win over Northeastern. Matt Miller led NU with two hits, including a three-run triple in the fourth inning. Freshman Kevin Ferguson took the loss, dropping his record to 1-2 on the year.

Bryant jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings, lighting up Ferguson for six hits.

Northeastern brought the game back within one in the bottom of the second, scoring four runs on three extra-base hits.

Senior Brendan Stokes started the rally with a ground-rule double to left field. Freshman Logan Gillis followed him with another double, this one down the left field line, scoring Stokes and making the score 5-1. Freshman Jon Leroux and junior Ryan Maguire drew walks, loading the bases for a two-out, three-RBI triple in the right-center field gap from Miller.

But it was the closest the Huskies would get for the rest of the game, not scoring in the final seven innings while allowing Bryant to tack on 15 more hits and 11 runs.

Also for the Huskies, senior Tony DiCesare smoked a single up the middle, and redshirt freshman John Puttress legged out a double down the left field line.

Northeastern returns to action tomorrow in Storrs, Conn. as they take on UConn. Starting pitchers have not yet been announced. Check back on GoNU.com for live stats links and other game information.
