The Huskies dropped game two of Sunday's double header by an 11-1 margin at Friedman Diamond. George Mason starter Chris O'Grady held NU to one hit through seven innings as the Huskies tallied just three hits on the day. Tony DiCesare scored the lone run after ripping a triple, his fourth three-bagger of the year. Northeastern starter Charly Bashara logged six innings, striking out four Patriots.

Frank Compagnone doubled in the ninth inning, his fifth double on the season. Also getting a hit for NU was catcher John Puttress, who led off the eighth inning with a single to center field.

DiCesare lined the first pitch of the fourth inning over the centerfielder's head, easily legging out the stand-up triple. Compagnone drove him in on the second pitch he saw with a ground ball to short stop.

George Mason scored all it would need in the second inning, pushing two runs across on three hits.

David Gustafson drew a couple of walks for NU, with Jon Leroux snagging the other free pass issued by Patriot pitchers.

Dylan Maki relieved Bashara in the seventh inning, tossing two frames and allowing a couple of hits. Chris Carmain finished out the game, striking out one in the ninth inning.

Next up on the Huskies' schedule is a non-league match up with Yale on Tuesday at Friedman Diamond. Check back on GoNU.com for more information as it become available.
