BOSTON – The No. 14 Northeastern men's ice hockey team is back in the playoffs, and a limited number of tickets for the Hockey East quarterfinal series at New Hampshire are now on sale. The Huskies and Wildcats will meet at the Whittemore Center for a best-of-three series beginning on Friday, Mar. 14 at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $20, and can be purchased online or at the Ell Hall Box Office. Tickets will be available for pickup on Mar. 6. The Ell Hall Box Office is open 12-6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 12-8 p.m. on Wednesdays. The Huskies return to the conference playoffs for the first time since 2011. Northeastern, the No. 5 seed in the tournament, earned a first-round bye in the new conference playoff alignment as it preps to face New Hampshire in the postseason for the first time since 2005. The Huskies are 14-29 all-time in the Hockey East quarterfinals, and have reached the semifinals in each of their last two playoff appearances.

Northeastern and the Wildcats are meeting in the playoffs for the first time since 2005, with New Hampshire holding a 3-1-1 edge in the all-time postseason series. Four of the five meetings have occurred in the quarterfinal round, with the lone tie coming in the consolation game in 1994.
