BROOKLINE, Mass. – Sporting 16 shots and winning eight corners, the Northeastern men's soccer team was unable to chip away at a two-goal deficit as the Huskies lost their regular-season finale, 2-0, against Dartmouth on Tuesday night at Parsons Field.

Khori Bennett led NU with six shots, tying his season high for the third time. Bennett's best chance at a goal came during the 75th minute, when he headed a bullet straight at the Big Green's goalkeeper James Hickok, who punched the ball over the crossbar.

Christian McKenna notched three shots for the Huskies, while
Daniel Arvidsson and
Jonas Taenzer each finished with two.
Lewis Aird,
Gaku Lange,
Kevin Carvalho rounded out the Huskies' 16 shots, which are tied for the second most the squad has amassed this year.

Northeastern finishes its first season under head coach
Chris Gbandi with a 6-11-0 record, including a 3-5-0 mark during CAA play. Gbandi's six victories are the second most by a first-year head coach in program history (12 – Ed Matz, 1996). Although the Huskies end the year ranked eighth in the competitive CAA, NU finished only four points shy of third place.

Dartmouth (16th minute): Roughly five minutes after Northeastern had won successive corners from the left and right flags, Dartmouth earned its first corner of the match along the left end line. Justin Donawa elevated the ensuing kick, high, towards the middle of the box, where Matt Danilack headed it to Wyatt Omsberg, who made the final touch.

Dartmouth (31st minute): Already credited with one assist in the match, the Big Green's Matt Danilack fired a pass towards the top of Dartmouth's 18-yard box. Jonathan Nierenberg, who had subbed on for the first time three minutes earlier, came in possession of the ball, turned, and ripped a shot to the bottom left corner of the net.

Christian McKenna and
Marc Greenblatt made their final substitutions ceremoniously during the 67th and 77th minutes, respectively. McKenna made his 59th career appearance at Northeastern on Tuesday, while Greenblatt, one of two vice captains on the squad, made his 69th appearance in the NU red-and-black.
• Northeastern doubled up Dartmouth in corners, 8-4.
