The men's ice hockey team is experiencing a recent stretch of success that fans have never seen before on Huntington Avenue. The Huskies are unbeaten in 20 of their last 21 games (18-1-2), the best stretch in team history. Northeastern's 11-game winning streak is the second longest such streak in program history, one shy of tying the school record. NU's 12-game unbeaten streak (11-0-1), meanwhile, is tied for the school's longest unbeaten streak and is currently the nation's longest active streak.

The team is 20-13-5 overall this season, which is tied for the fifth most victories in program history, and cracked the top 20 in both the USCHO.com poll and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Coaches' Poll for the first time this season on Monday, checking in at No. 14.

The Huskies will be making their eighth appearance in the conference semifinal in team history, and Friday will mark the third time that NU and Boston College have squared off in the Hockey East semifinal (1987, 2011).
