BOSTON – The Northeastern men's and women's track and field program and head coach
Cathrine Erickson announced the 2017-18 schedule on Monday.
The indoor season gets underway on December 2 when the Huskies compete in the Boston University Season Opener in Boston, MA. Northeastern will then head to New Hampshire for the Dartmouth Relays in the New Year.
The Huskies will stay close to home for the next few meets, hosting the Joe Donahue Games and the John Thomas Invite before competing in the New England Championships on February 2 - 3 and the David Hemery Invite on February 10.
Northeastern will wrap up the indoor season on March 2 - 4 at the ECAC/IC4A Championships in Boston, hosted by Boston University.
A quick turnaround, as the Huskies begin the outdoor season on March 23 at the Raleigh Relays and the Victor Lopez Invite. Northeastern will then be back home to host the Jay Carisella Invite on march 31.
The Red and Black will be on the road the next two weeks at the Yale Invite and the Northeast Challenge, before being back home on April 21 for the Northeastern Coaches Invite. Northeastern will close out the regular season at the Penn Relays and the Brown Springtime invite.
The Huskies will head to the Colonia Athletic Association Championships on May 4 and then the NEICCCA Championships on May 11.
Northeastern will look to continue it's success from last season, which included a third consecutive CAA title for the men and a first place finish at the New England Championships for the women.
"We are looking forward to getting into the track and field season. The history of what this team has done on the track is incredible and with many talented athletes returning and the talented freshman that have joined us this year, we feel as though we will be able to continue that success throughout the entire season," Erickson said.
