Ocean State Classic Results: Men | Women

BOSTON – With nearly the entire team competing, the Northeastern track and field team finished weekend competition with 40 personal bests, 33 New England qualifying marks, 14 ECAC/IC4A qualifying marks and 12 NU top 10 performances.
 
The Huskies have now completed eight meets, with three remaining before the championship portion of the season. Next weekend, the Red and Black will again hit the road, heading to Albany, N.Y. before closing out the regular season at the Penn Relays and Brown Invite April 27^th-29^th.
 
At Connecticut's Northeast Challenge, the sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers shined with 17 top five finishes. Kicking off the day was the men's 4x100m relay team, composed of Naukym Morton, Anthony Roderick, Collins Ebozue and Chris Jewett, that ran 40.90, a mere .63 seconds off the program record. Later in the day, Patrice Williams, Katie Hanlon, Audrey Weyand and Olivia Robbins earned second place in the 4x400m relay with an ECAC qualifying 3:49.43 finish.
 
In the 400m dash, Patrice Williams and Austin Lin grabbed second place in their respective races, with New England and ECAC/IC4A qualifying times of 54.79 and 49.03. Williams then went on to win the women's 200m dash with another New England and ECAC performance of 24.70.
 
Paige Suse claimed first overall in the high jump with a personal best jump of 1.73m, punching her ticket to New England and ECAC Championships.
 
In Providence, the Husky men rewrote the all-time mile list with Chance Lamberth, Mike Duggan, David McDonald, Cameron Kunde and Dan Paiva clocking times that ranked them 6^th through 10^th respectively in program history. Lamberth led the pack with a New England and IC4A qualifying 4:09.84, good for 6^th overall at the meet.
 
In the hammer throw, Erica Belvit, Lauren Swanson and Monae Cooper placed themselves in spots five, six and ten on NU's all-time list with marks of 53.92m, 51.33m and 47.50m. All three athletes earned a spot at the New England Championship meet with Belvit and Swanson adding their first ECAC qualifying marks of the season.
