Towson Ends Huskies' Season in CAA Quarterfinals

The Tigers win in straight sets in Charleston

Charleston, S.C. -- The No. 5 Northeastern volleyball team (16-14, 9-8) ended their 2018 season on Friday afternoon after losing in straight sets to No. 6 Towson (17-14, 11-6) in the CAA Quarterfinals. 

Gabrielle Eyl had a fantastic career with the Howlin' Huskies, finishing with the second most digs in program history with 2,240 and finished her senior season in 13th place in the NCAA for digs per set. Eyl recorded 16 sets against the Tigers in her final game of her collegiate career. 

Athena Ardila led the Huskies with nine kills while Natalie Shollin commanded the block party with four and tacked on five kills. 

The Huskies will lose three seniors as they head into the 2019 season with Eyl, Taylor Reiter and Sherrie Wang having used their full NCAA eligibility.
