Huskies, Eagles set for Sunday tilt

The crosstown rivals will square off Sunday at 1 p.m.

BOSTON– The local action continues on Sunday afternoon when the Northeastern field hockey teams heads across town to Newton to take on No. 19 Boston College Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
 
Sunday's game can be found on the new ACC Network and will also be streamed live here.
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
 
  1. Taking a look at the competition
 
HUSKIES VS. BOSTON COLLEGE
  • The two teams, who have met 41 times in the past, will square off once again on Sunday afternoon
  • The Huskies lead the series with the Eagles 23-17-1 though BC has won six of the last seven meetings between the two teams
  • In a game that came down to the final seconds last season, ninth-ranked BC eked out a victory over the Huskies scoring the game-deciding goal in the 61st minute of action, though the Huskies never gave up, giving themselves opportunities to score right down until the horn sounded
  • Boston College is 1-3 on the season and has lost its last three games after a season opening 2-1 victory over Providence
  • The Eagles fell to Fairfield followed by losses to #2 Maryland and #15 Northwestern last weekend
  • They face Dartmouth on Friday afternoon

  • After two weekends of play, the Northeastern offense is all over the national rankings
