BOSTON– The Northeastern field hockey team is headed out on a two-game road trip where they will face a couple of ranked opponents in No. 23 Fairfield and No. 21 Wake Forest this weekend.
Friday afternoon's game against the Stags will kick off at 4 p.m. and can be found

HUSKIES VS. FAIRFIELD
- Northeastern and Fairfield will meet for the first time since the 2002 season on Friday afternoon
- The two teams have met three times in the past with Northeastern winning on all three occasions, in fact Fairfield hasn't ever scored a goal against the Huskies

- The Stags are ranked for the first time since September 11, 2012, when they also stood 23rd in the nation after the team opened the year with a 4-2 record
- This season they are off to a 7-1 start
- After falling 3-0 to UMass-Lowell in the season opener, Fairfield has rallied off seven-straight wins heading into Friday's game

- The Demon Deacons are off to a 2-5 start to the season, but have squared off against six ranked teams during that time
