RICHMOND, Va. - Northeastern outfielder
Jared Dupere was named CAA Player of the Year, right-handed pitcher
Cam Schlittler was named CAA Rookie of the Year and head coach
Mike Glavine earned CAA Coach of the Year, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Dupere led the league and is ninth in the country with 17 home runs, Schlittler ranks second in the NCAA with a 1.29 earned run average, and Coach Glavine earns his third CAA Coach of the Year honors after leading the Huskies to a CAA record 18-0 start and 20-3 conference record.
Joining Dupere and Schlittler on the All-CAA first team is second baseman

Max Viera and RHP
Kyle Murphy. Third baseman
Danny Crossen, outfielder
Jeff Costello and reliever
Eric Yost were named to the All-CAA second team. Schlittler, RHP
Wyatt Scotti and Viera were named to the CAA All-Rookie Team.
Dupere, a native of Amesbury, Mass., ranks fourth in the NCAA with a CAA-best .789 slugging percentage which currently stands as a single-season school record. He has three multi-home run games this season and earned a league-best four CAA Player of the Week recognitions. Dupere leads the CAA with 50 runs scored, is second with 42 runs batted in, and is the second player in program history to earn CAA Player of the Year distinction, along with Charlie McConnell in 2018.
A native of East Walpole, Mass., Schlittler is 7-0 this season and his current ERA would be a single-season school record. The redshirt freshman is fifth in the CAA with 74 strikeouts and was awarded CAA Pitcher of the Week twice this season. He is the fourth Husky to win Rookie of the Year and the first since
Ian Fair in 2018.
Glavine is in his seventh season at the helm and was also named the 2017 and '18 CAA Coach of the Year. The former Northeastern star led the Huskies to an impressive 20-3 conference record and the CAA North Division Championship, earning the No. 1 overall seed for the CAA tournament. The Huskies won a single-season school record 20 consecutive games from April 7-May 15 and Northeastern leads the CAA in the three major categories of batting average (.299 / #25 in NCAA), pitching (2.95 ERA / #3 in NCAA) and fielding percentage (.981 / #10 in NCAA).
Holzwasser, a redshirt senior from Sudbury, Mass., is third in the CAA in runs scored (43) and fifth in on-base percentage (.457). He also leads the CAA with 22 stolen bases and is the NU record holder in hit-by-pitch (53), runs scored (165) and stolen bases (80). The human highlight reel has been the No. 1 play on SportsCenter twice this season, the only player in college baseball to produce two No. 1 highlights (
March 3 /
May 3).
Murphy, a redshirt senior from Billerica, Mass., is 6-0 this season and fourth in the CAA with a 2.74 ERA. Opponents are hitting just .174 against him, No. 22 in the country, and is third in the CAA with 81 strikeouts. The veteran has won CAA Pitcher of the Week twice this season and the six wins is third-best in the league.
Viera, a freshman from Greenwood Lake, N.Y., is 12th in the CAA with a .343 batting average and 10th in the CAA with a .565 slugging percentage. He has reached base safely in 27 of 28 games played this season and has currently reached base in 14 consecutive games. Viera tallied 11 multi-hit games and leads the team with 15 two-out RBIs.
Costello is the reigning CAA Player of the Week and is a redshirt junior from Lexington, Mass. The left fielder is hitting a team-best .370 this season which is good for third in the CAA. He is also sixth in the CAA with a .453 on-base percentage and leads the team with 15 multi-hit games. Costello has been clutch for the Huskies with 13 two-out RBIs and is batting .440 with runners in scoring position.
Crossen, a redshirt sophomore from Cotuit, Mass., is eighth in the CAA and third on the team with a .352 batting average. His two triples are good for third in the CAA and he is 6-for-8 in stolen bases this season. Crossen ranks third on the team with 25 RBIs and he has 13 multi-hit games for the Huskies.
Yost, a freshman from Ossining, N.Y., was named CAA Rookie of the Week on April 27 after earning two saves in the sweep over Delaware, April 23-24, and owns a 4.08 ERA. He ranks sixth in the CAA with four saves and has struck out 15 in 17.2 innings pitched.
Scotti, a freshman from Barnstable, Mass., owns a 4-1 record this season and earned one CAA Pitcher of the Week honor back in May. His 2.13 ERA is good for second in the CAA and is 29th in the NCAA. Opponents are hitting just .188 which is good for third in the CAA and ranks 35th in the country by allowing just 5.95 hits per nine innings.
