BOSTON – The Northeastern field hockey team (3-11, 2-1 CAA) will be on the road for a big conference weekend at Delaware (5-10, 3-1 CAA), on Oct. 21, at 5 p.m., before heading back north to Drexel (9-5, 2-1 CAA) on Oct. 23, at 12 p.m.
Three Things to Know:
- CAA Stakes – The CAA playoff race is coming down to the wire, with each team in the conference having at least a loss. Northeastern, along with Delaware and Drexel, currently sit in the top-four position needed to make the tournament.
- The History – The Huskies hold a 17-16 edge over the Blue Hens in the all-time series but have lost the previous 11 meetings, with the last victory coming in 2012. Against the Dragons, Northeastern leads the all-time series 21-8-1 and have won seven of the last ten matchups.
- Magic #3 – Since 2010, the Huskies have earned a CAA tournament spot each season when getting to three conference wins.
The Huskies will return home to wrap up the conference schedule against Towson (Oct. 28) and end the regular season on senior day against No. 20 UMass Amherst (Oct. 30). The game against the Tigers will be broadcast on FloLive, while the meeting with the Minutemen will be on NESN+.
