BOSTON – The Northeastern volleyball team (7-10, 4-4 CAA) is set to host Stony Brook (9-10, 4-6 CAA) on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23. Both matches are slated for 2 pm. Saturday's match can be watched on FloVolleyball, and Sunday's will be on NESN and FloVolleyball.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- IT'S BEEN A WHILE: This weekend's matches between the Huskies and Seawolves marks the first time since 2004 that the teams have faced one another. Northeastern owns the overall head-to-head record, 7-4.
- IN THE NCAA RANKS: Senior outside hitter Erica Staunton ranks 24th in nation, averaging 4.24 kills per set. Staunton has double-digit kills in all matches this season except one, highlighted by a career-high 26 kills at Delaware on September 18.
- DOUBLING ON DEFENSE: Senior libero Kayla Martin has double-digit digs in 13 matches this season, and averages 4.04 per set, which ranks third in the CAA.
After Stony Brook, the Huskies will hit the road to take on North Carolina A&T on Sunday, October 30 and Monday, October 31.
