RICHMOND, Va. – Two members of the Northeastern volleyball team earned All-CAA postseason honors on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the 2022 CAA Tournament hosted in SECU Arena at Towson University. Senior outside hitter
Erica Staunton was named to the All-CAA First Team, and senior middle blocker
Nailah Jenkins garnered All-CAA Second Team accolades.
Staunton, leads the Huskies with 362 kills, averaging 4.02 per set, which ranks third in the conference. The senior has tallied double-digit kills in 21 matches this season with six double-doubles. In addition to being a force on offense, Staunton has been an integral piece from the back line, ranking third on the team with 138 digs. The Orland Park, Illinois native also notched her 1,000
th career kill in style, with a 13-kill performance against William & Mary.
Jenkins is second on the team with 220 kills, averaging 2.29 per set, and tallied double-digit kills in eight matches. The Atlanta, Georgia native has a .299 overall hitting percentage, which ranks fifth in the conference. The senior also has been a key piece on defense, leading the squad with 89 total blocks, averaging 0.93 per set, highlighted by a career-high 10 blocks against Georgia.
