Northeastern Travels To Georgia Tech Friday

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team is back on the road this week as the Huskies head to Georgia Tech for a 7:30 p.m. matchup on Friday on ACCNX.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. THE SERIES WITH GEORGIA TECH - The Huskies and Yellow Jackets are meeting for the first time in series history. Georgia Tech is the second ACC opponent for Northeastern in the last two weeks, and one of four opponents that NU will be playing for the first time ever this season (UIC, North Carolina A&T, Hampton).

2. BEAST ON THE BOARDS - Alexander Nwagha has stepped in at the 5 spot in the absence of Chris Doherty in recent weeks, collecting 33 rebounds in the last three games highlighted by 17 against Princeton on Nov. 26 en route to his first career double-double. Nwagha had 30 rebounds in his first two seasons at Northeastern combined.

3. WON'T BACK DOWN - Northeastern has never been afraid to take on the nation's elite programs during Bill Coen's 16+ years at Northeastern. During his tenure, the Huskies have earned victories over nine high-major programs, the most among CAA teams in that span.
