Huskies Set to Host Towson, Monmouth

BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team (9-8, 4-2 CAA) is set to host Towson (11-7, 5-2 CAA) on Friday, January 27 at 7 pm, and then Monmouth (9-10, 4-4 CAA) on Sunday, January 29 at 1:30 pm. Both games will stream on FloHoops, and Sunday's will also be on NESN.
 
Friday is Northeastern's NGWSD game, and there will be a t-shirt giveaway and post-game autographs with the team and various student-athletes! Sunday is the team's Alumnae Game, and alums in attendance will be recognized at halftime!
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
  1. LAST TIME OUT – Junior Deja Bristol tallied a career-high 16 points as the Huskies used a big second and third quarter to cruise past host Hofstra, 68-48, on Sunday at the David S. Mack Physical Education Complex. Junior Derin Erdogan and graduate student JaMiya Braxton also had double-digits for the Huskies. Erdogan notched 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, and Braxton tallied 13 points, marking her third straight game in double-figures.
  2. REWIND AGAINST MONMOUTH – The Hawks and Huskies last met on December 30 in New Jersey. Erdogan scored 13 of her game-high 18 points in the second half, but Monmouth used a 7-0 run in the final 42 seconds to rally past Northeastern with a final score of 54-49.
  3. BACK HOME – After being on the road for three straight games, the Huskies finally are back in Cabot for three games. Northeastern has a 3-2 record this season at home, and last picked up a big 92-51 victory over UNCW on Solomon Court on Sunday, January 8. 
After Towson & Monmouth, the Huskies will host Drexel on Friday, February 3. Tip-off is slated for 7 pm, and can be watched on FloHoops.
