Zier, Reck Earn All-CAA Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – Two members of the Northeastern volleyball team earned All-CAA postseason honors on Wednesday morning ahead of the 2023 CAA Tournament hosted in SECU Arena at Towson University. Graduate student middle blocker Anabel Zier was named to the All-CAA Second Team, and freshman outside hitter Abby Reck garnered All-Rookie Team accolades.
 
Zier, is second on the Huskies with 200 total kills, averaging 2.22 per set. The Blacksburg, Virginia native is fifth in the CAA with a .351 hitting percentage, and ninth in blocks with 85, averaging .94 per set. The graduate student also tallied double-digit kills in eight matches, highlighted by a career-high 16 and nine blocks in a four-set win over Elon.
 
Reck, is first on the squad with 251 total kills, averaging 2.82 per set. The freshman notched double-digit kills in 12 matches this season, highlighted by 20 in a thrilling four-set win over Northern Colorado. The Northville, Michigan native was tabbed CAA Rookie of the Week three times, tallied 8+ digs in seven matches, and notched three double-doubles.
 
The Huskies will face #3 Campbell on Thursday, November 16 in the CAA Tournament Quarterfinals. First serve is slated for 6:30 p.m. and will stream on FloVolleyball.
