BOSTON – Northeastern volleyball head coach
Lenika Vazquez announced the 2023 fall schedule for the Huskies on Thursday. The slate features three non-conference tournaments, and 26 total matches, including 12 that will take place at home on Solomon Court in the Cabot Center.
The Huskies will kick off their season in style at the Wake Forest Tournament on August 25-26. In the tournament, Northeastern will face Toledo, Grand Canyon, and Wake Forest.
After a trip to North Carolina, Northeastern will continue its non-conference slate at the Bryant Invitational on September 1-2, where the Huskies will take on Lafayette, Siena, and Bryant.
The Huskies will host the Northeastern Tournament on September 7-9. Northeastern will play Northern Colorado at 5 pm on the 7
th, Northwestern and Northern Colorado will play each other at 5 pm on the 8
th, and Northeastern will return to the court on the 9
th against Northwestern at 2 pm.
Northeastern will begin CAA play on the road at Stony Brook on September 16-17, and have its first home conference matches against Hofstra on September 23-24 at 2 pm on both days. After matchups against Elon, Delaware, and Hampton, the Huskies will take on new CAA opponent Campbell on the road (October 21-22).
The Huskies will return home to face Charleston on October 28-29, and then hit the road one last time during the regular season at William and Mary on November 4-5.
Northeastern will close its regular season slate at home against 2022 CAA Champion Towson on November 11-12. The CAA Tournament will then be hosted by the Tigers on November 16-18.
The Huskies finished as the four-seed in the CAA tournament in 2022, which was highlighted by a four-set win over five-seed Elon. The victory was Northeastern's first quarterfinal win since 2013.
