Field Hockey Travels To W&M, Hosts No. 20 BC

BOSTON — The Northeastern field hockey team (4-4) heads on the road again Friday to William and Mary before returning home to face local opponent No. 20 Boston College on Sunday. The Huskies play W&M at 2 p.m. Friday and then close the weekend Sunday against BC at noon for the Beat Cancer game. Both games will be available on FloCollege.
  1. CAA PLAY IS ON ITS WAY — The Huskies look to play their second conference game of the season this Friday at William and Mary. The Huskies face the Tribe for the 27th time in school history. The overall record is close, but the Huskies hold a two game lead, 14-12-0.
  2. SERIES RECORD ON THE LINE — Graduate student Laine Ambrose looks to face her former team, Boston College, as they arrive in Dedham to face the Huskies for the 48th time. The two teams stand even with an all-time series record of 23-23-1. The teams look to break away and own the winning record on Sunday.
  3. STICK SEASON — Friday's game marks the exact mid-point in the Huskies season. After this weekend, the team will play three games at home and four games on the road. A strong suit this season for the Huskies has been penalty strokes. Looking at stats, last season (2024), the team earned zero penalty strokes. This season, the team has already earned four, and scored on each one.

Looking ahead, the Huskies will play a one game weekend, traveling to UAlbany on Oct. 12th at 12 p.m.
