BOSTON - The Northeastern volleyball team is back on the road this weekend, Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12. The Huskies will be facing off with Elon for both matches, with Saturday's game slated to begin at 7 p.m. on FloCollege.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. ELON VS. NORTHEASTERN HISTORY - Northeastern holds a 16-5 overall record against the Phoenix, with their latest victory coming in 3-1 fashion (in 2023). The Huskies tallied 52 kills, 65 digs, 42 assists, and seven aces in the match.
2. SEASON STAT LEADERS - Freshman Emma Rowell has become the Huskies' go-to attack, registering a team-high 136 kills. Middle-hitter Beatrice Gennari leads the team with 55.0 blocks this season, averaging 1.06 per set. On the passing front, first-year Sofia King leads Northeastern with 235 total assists thus far.
3. CAA STAT LEADER BOARD - Junior duo Beatrice Gennari (No. 1) and Kaylin Daniels (No. 2) continue to lead the conference in hitting percentage, with Gennari hitting at a .458 clip, and Daniels just behind at a .433 clip. Gennari is ranked fifth in NCAA Division I volleyball with this statistic. Gennari has moved into the third slot of blocks per set in the CAA, averaging 1.06. First-year Sofia King has moved into the eighth spot in assists per set with an average of 5.73. As a team, the Huskies are No. 3 in hitting percentage (.236), No. 2 in average opponent digs (13.00), and No. 3 in assists per set (12.21).
Northeastern returns home next weekend, hosting Charleston for a pair of conference games. The teams' first match-up will be Saturday, October 18, with a 1 p.m. start time on FloCollege, celebrating Breaking Barriers.
